Colonial Stationery - George Washington, "The Prayer at Valley Forge"
I absolutely LOVE this new Colonial looking stationery!! This is probably the most beautiful stationery I have ever seen! This
is a reproduction stationery, especially made to appear very olde! It is so primitive looking!! Each
bundle includes 6 sheets of paper, and 6 envelopes. The bundle is
wrapped in aged cording with a blackened beeswax bust of George Washington which is scented in *Apples & Cinnamon* which smells absolutely WONDERFUL!!
The picture is George Washington kneeling near his horse in prayer at Valley Forge, praying along with the Bible verse, "And All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Matt. 21:22
It just touched my heart to see this picture of George Washington
praying! I've never seen a picture of him like this before. George
Washington was known as a praying man. A group of his men accidentally
came upon him in the brush, and witnessed George Washington on his
knees praying. They listened as he prayed out loud.
The stationery is very usable, and looks AWESOME displayed on our Early William Writing Desk, along with our Mini Pitch Flicker Light, scented in *Colonial Olde Kitchen Spice*, and Pitch Feather Quill with English Nib (as shown in photo) which can be purchased separately. It also looks nice displayed on our Plantation Cupboard, an olde cupboard or desk! 8 1/2" x 11".
